Both of these images come from the same customer, who’s cleverly used their auction wins to add personality and charm to their stairs. In the first photo, we have a stunning Victorian-style ebonised and gilt wall mirror. Its beautifully moulded rectangular frame is decorated with intricate foliate cartouches, and the bevelled mirror plate adds a touch of elegance. Alongside the mirror is a lovely Japanese-style Studio pottery bowl and cover. And for a playful twist, there’s a toy woody hanging inside! In the second image, you’ll spot a large Wade advertising ceramic Marmite biscuit jar paired with an adorable Gabrielle Designs Paddington Bear, dressed in his signature red coat and blue Dunlop wellies. These treasures are a perfect example of how unique auction finds can add character to any home.

The third image features a striking Leopard bronze sculpture, perfectly displayed as a centrepiece. Its bold presence is sure to capture attention and elevate the room with its timeless beauty. Each of these pieces adds a unique, eye-catching element to their surroundings, showcasing how auction finds can truly enhance your home decor.

Here we have a stunning leopard rug layered over an antique rug, showcasing the joy of mixing old and new. The contrast of the bold, contemporary leopard print with the classic charm of the antique rug creates a cool, fun layering effect that brings personality and depth to the space. It’s a fantastic reminder that blending different styles can add a unique, playful touch to your decor, making your home feel both timeless and modern at the same time.

Fine Art

In the first image, we have a striking Untitled - Abstract Composition by Joan Miró, a colour lithograph dated 1981. Its bold and dynamic shapes bring a touch of Spanish modernism to the stair wall, effortlessly blending into the space with its vibrant energy. The second image showcases a stunning oil painting by Tony Forrest, titled Springbok and Birds of Prey in an Expansive African Landscape. This beautiful piece, signed by the artist, captures the vastness of the African landscape with its rich colours and dramatic portrayal of wildlife. Set against a clean white wall, the painting’s natural tones really pop, making it a captivating focal point. In the third image, we see a touching etching by Herbert Thomas Dicksee, "Maternal Care". Signed in pencil and published by Frost & Reed in 1899, this elegant piece depicts a lioness nurturing her cubs. Displayed on a patterned wallpaper, the etching contrasts beautifully with the intricate background, adding a sense of history and depth to the space. These artworks show how different styles – from abstract to classical – can be artfully integrated into any home, each adding a unique flair to its surroundings.
