On Friday 29th November, we held our much-anticipated Winter Art Sale at David Duggleby Auctioneers and Valuers. This exclusive auction featured an exceptional array of fresh-to-market pictures, private lifetime collections, and individual masterpieces across various genres and periods. It also saw exciting bidding wars for some of the lots, adding to the intensity of the sale.

The sale was a tremendous success, with several standout pieces achieving remarkable results. Highlights included Alexander Webster's Fraserburgh Harbour and Lighthouse, which sold for £3,400, and Dame Ethel Walker's Seascape Study with Seagulls, fetching £3,300. Strong performances from contemporary artists such as Kane Cunningham, with 'Farndale - Wettest Day of the Year', and Damien Hirst’s Circle Spin Painting and Star Spin Painting, both of which performed exceptionally well, contributed to the overall excitement of the auction.
